Wednesday Update #5!

So the itchfunding campaign is back on, I'm getting my last paycheck from my old job and my first paycheck from my new job back-to-back so things look like they will be stable enough for a crowdfund.  ^^  That's going to start 9/9 so stay tuned!

Also been touching up visuals and pairing them to the script.  I am actually so much happier with some of these new visuals than I was with what few pictures were in Steel Barista!  Especially the dead robot body; it actually follows the rules set up in the main story with waiter-robots having synthetic skin to protect their delicate inner workings from burns while still being sensitive enough to know when food is the wrong temperature AND having screen faces to show the menu.  And I didn't even realize that until AFTER the picture was edited!  I do most things by the seat of my pants and hope they work out later.

I also ended up adding side images (well, silhouettes, really; trying to keep it vague what the player characters look like so that people can RP better) whenever the player character(s) speak.  Lots of visual novels do that to help readers keep track of when their character is speaking or not.  I personally don't like it as I feel it is immersion-breaking.  But it is something new to learn how to do, its something people have requested of me in the past (and its not an outrageous request, so sure I can roll with it), and it helps the game stand out from the Original Verson.

I am about halfway done with adding pictures to the bonus story.  Then, I need to go back to the main story and add in the side images + fix some issues that I noticed.  It took me a year to notice them but at least I did, eventually, notice them!  That's my goal for this week, though; to finish up the visuals.  Oh, and add in music and sound effects.  Can't believe I almost forgot that part.

Anyway, see you guys 9/9 for the itchfunding campaign!
