Wednesday Update #7!

So as mentioned a few days ago, I got the trailer up and running.  I've also been making sure the game is running well for its initial release on Saturday (its already the 24th???).  So far, everything is working out great!

I've also been thinking about release dates.  Depending on how the itchfunding campaign goes, it will probably be either 12/9 or 1/6.  There's (so far) no big releases around those times, and it gives me plenty of time to get the Steam page set up and advertised.  But I haven't made any final decisions yet; again, that will be after the campaign ends.

But the main exciting thing is that its almost ready for its initial itch.io release!  Which also means next Wednesday's post-mortem will be the last regular Wednesday update for Clash Complete.  I will have some periodic updates regarding the Steam release on here, but it won't be a weekly tracker sort of thing.

Anyway, enough rambling.  See you Saturday around noon (Central time) for Clash Complete's first big release!

what will set this apart from the other individual released games/stories? aside from packing them together.

There's some updates to the UI for the whole package, as well as tweaking various dialogue bits that needed tweaking.  Steel Barista gets the most updates, with visuals/music and some re-edited scenes to fix the pacing and/or cover some plot hiccups.  Curious Set is heavily condensed (and heavily SFW-ified) and added to Steel Barista as a new epilogue.  There's also new achievements (bringing the total to 30) and a behind-the-scenes trivia sequence where you interview Clash to learn how the game was made (just because).

The biggest thing admittedly is the fact that the three games are now two stories in one game.

Thanks for the prompt and full answer! I am curious to see if that... particular story works sfw. I don't see it but you'll prove me wrong I am sure.

I certainly hope so.  xD  It definitely ended up getting the most edits...like, its a broad-strokes retelling done as an epilogue level of edits...but the main spirit I had intended with the original is still there.  Well, the spirit that wasn't a self-indulgent fanfic, anyway.

Better self indulgent fanfic well written with heart than a forced thing the author just hopes someone likes because they sure don't.

You do you. It was good. 👍
