Spooktober Check-In 4: EVERYBODY'S RUSHIN'

Despite a couple of setbacks related to my day job, I finished the writing!  I also got a couple of special sprites made (one of them is now my avatar).  For the final week of devwork, I will be focusing on visuals and sound.  Any extra sprites that need to be made, any backgrounds that need to be edited, and any music that needs to be found; its going to be done this week.  Best case scenario, game releases and gets submitted to Spooktober/Monstrous Desires on Saturday.  Worst case scenario, it releases the following Monday instead.

The only problem I have with the project as of today is that the part of the game I'd had in mind (ie, the mystery/scary parts) got rushed for time.  It happens with jam games sometimes; in order to make the deadlines, you need to just wrap it up and push it out.  It'll get fixed in the book version anyway.  But I just hope what I have is high enough quality for the jams.  There's some top tier stuff getting submitted this year and my art style - which I was so proud of for this game because it is honestly the best my art has ever looked in my entire life (which is quite sad) - is going to look very bizarre next to people who actually know how to draw.

But at the end of the day, I'm genuinely happy with it.  That's what truly matters in the end.
