HUNT3R is officially my most popular game!
...and I can't figure out why?!
No seriously, the only other game of mine with this many views/downloads is Amethyst Hearth. And that one got a huge popularity boost just from being in the Ukraine bundle a few months back. HUNT3R got there all on its own.
I genuinely can't figure out why. Especially since it uses almost entirely default RPG Maker assets. Over on Steam, that's a death sentence. And its not JUST putting the game up for free, either; I do that with other games (heck, I'm doing that with six games at once right now) and they still don't get viewed/downloaded nearly as much as HUNT3R.
HUNT3R has exploded with (relative) popularity and I am so confused as to why.
I mean, I'll take it. And I'm very grateful to everyone who's viewing/downloading it. And I'm also very grateful to everyone who has already donated to the fundraiser (which btw, please donate to the fundraiser, I am about to run out of money and I don't get a paycheck until September: please help). And I'm happy about it!
I'm just so darn confused. What makes HUNT3R so enjoyable?
(If you've played HUNT3R and have a theory as to why its taken off so well, do let me know in the comment section)

Amethyst Heart and Colony Ship Coral Stars are my favorites, I think you know that already.❤️
Hunt3r is a great one though, might be because despite their huge differences they still love each other and players like to see an unexpected love? I am not sure?
They are the two side of a coin, different but together no matter what?❤️
There is also a part of randomness for a game to be seen too I guess, but not sure how much percent of the views/downloads that would make?
There might be other reasons that I did not think of too.
By the way, I do not see anymore that Mermaid game?
The mermaid game is cancelled for now, I need to focus on getting Clash on Steam and on my new job thats starting soon. When things settle down, I'm going to completely rehaul it so that its no longer a romance game. Its just going to be about Baiji and Brielle going on adventures.
And I like your insights, thank you for your theories. ^^
I understand you have a lot on your plate already with Clash and working sure takes time too on the everyday life. Baiji and Brielle on a adventure sounds nice too.
