Wednesday Update #4!
Last Wednesday update before the demo launches in a day or so!
Still need to do some playtesting but so far, so good. Visuals finished, music/sound added, tweaked some of the newer sprites that were really crusty. It looks good, and its a good introduction to the game at large imho.
Again though, I need to do a lot of testing to make sure everything runs well. Then after the jam is over, I will STILL need to do some tweaking so that the demo is in a good state for Steam. I'd like to have it participate in a Next Fest in 2023, so it needs to be perfect for that event so that it will actually be found and played. But I also have to make sure it doesn't overshadow Clash 1's launch period which by the way, that game is on Steam on 1/2/2023 so be sure to check that out.
I feel good about this sequel. Started out with just a name and a setting, now I have half a plot. That's an improvement! And the demo is garnering some pretty good prerelease hype, especially considering normal itch.io demo prerelease numbers for my projects. So this is working out. Cool.
