Wednesday Update #6!


I do apologize for taking so long on this.  Not worrying about deadlines is good as its a less stressful approach to VN development for me.  On the other hand, without deadlines my procrastination and exhaustion team up to make it a little tougher to get stuff done.  And most of that is because of my day job, yes, but still.  I'm only getting a tiny little bit of devwork done during the week or during really busy weekends (which I suppose the positive side of that is at least SOMETHING is getting done).  Hence, a switch to biweekly updates; I just don't have enough to show for with one week's worth of development.

But I did make a decision for this whole flashback-intro thing.  Its in black and white.  Because flashbacks are in the past, and old movies from the past are in black and white, therefore the flashback will be black and white.  This means a little more work for me, as now I need to make sure the sprites are black and white just like the backgrounds.  But still, it will look cool.  And I did get the writing and prologue-decisions finished, so there's that too.

Once the demo is wrapped up and I get paid, it will go up on Steam.  So probably mid-February.  That should give me time to test and tweak it.
