Sunday Update #6


So things were going along smooth, I was writing and nothing seemed too complicated.  Then I decided Chapter 3 was too short and needed a little interlude from finishing up the interrogation with the parents of the kidnapped kids and getting to the AI-controlled haunted mansion.  Then I decided that there should only be one shot at picking a path.  THEN I decided that whichever path you pick determines who the AI's henchman is for the rest of the game.

That's  the part that's exciting, because the three options have already been set up.  You could end up with Nathan, the slimy and cowardly guy you chased down in the first chapter.  It could be Sal, who a big chunk of Clash's characterization revolves around.  Or it could be the new robot at the station, made by Clash's company.  And it would stay this way for the rest of the game.  FINALLY, SOME BRANCHING BITS.

Then I did a sprite for the new robot.  I've been playing around with a gender-swapped Clash character for awhile.  She'd be his opposite in methods and feelings towards humans.  Clara (or CL-4R4) is a special-edition robot designed for a charity auction.  She's a bit more curvaceous than most crime investigation assistance automatas.  More on her later because I'm still trying to figure out the rest of her characterization.  I know that she needs to be edgy but I'm not sure HOW edgy.

So now I have to start working these first few branches into the main story.  Funnnnnn.
